About the Role: We're looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team to design and build scalable systems and APIs. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop robust backend solutions while ensuring high performance and reliability.
Required:
- 3+ years of backend software development experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Proven track record building and maintaining APIs
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems
- Knowledge of serverless architectures
- Experience with high-scale data processing systems
What You'll Do:
- Design and implement backend services and microservices
- Build and maintain APIs for internal and external consumption
- Lead code reviews and maintain engineering best practices
- Own incident response and resolution
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies
- Optimize system and database performance
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Debug production issues and implement solutions

- CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions
- Infrastructure: Terraform, CloudFormation
